Atelier E creates architecture and interiors that turn spaces into memorable journeys of discovery — where refined craftsmanship, material honesty, and the RARE principle deliver emotional resonance for guests and lasting personal meaning for residents.
Enoch Hui received his architectural training at the University of Bath and practised in both the UK and Hong Kong before founding Atelier E in 2009. Every project is approached as a symphony of sequential and intertwining spaces with unique, refined detailing carefully arranged to produce a journey of discovery. This reflects Hui’s personal motto: life is full of joy, so enjoy it as much as you can, while you can — an idea he wants clients and their guests to experience in the spaces he creates.
The studio’s design method, known as RARE (Redefinition, Adaptation, Representation, Elimination), prioritises problem-solving and context over style or trend. Atelier E is particularly recognised for its work in hospitality, where material honesty and authentic sustainability become part of the brand narrative, most notably in the Global Best Sustainability Design Award–winning interiors for Roganic Hong Kong. The studio maintains offices in Hong Kong and Japan and continues to expand its residential and hospitality practice across the region.
